Our Smoky BBQ Sauce is an all-in-one recipe that lifts the lid on the "secret" that makes the sauce. Throw your ingredients into your Thermomix and let the flavors get to know each other for about an hour, season to taste depending on how much heat you like and what direction you'd like to take it in. Slather on ribs, burgers, wings – even vegetable skewers, jackfruit, tofu – you name it, this sauce will rev it up.

METHOD


  1. Place carrot, onion, garlic and butter into thermomix bowl
  2. Chop - approx 6 sec, speed 7
  3. Cook - approx 5 min, varoma, speed 1
  4. Add remaining ingredients
  5. Blend - approx 10 sec, speed 4
  6. Cook - approx 1 hr, 80°C, speed 1
  7. Check consistency and cook longer if you like a thicker sauce
  8. Taste for heat, add more chipotle chili and re-blend if desired
  9. Otherwise, pour into sterilized jars and keep refrigerated between uses
