Thermomix Shredded Chicken

Shredded chicken is the Swiss army knife of fridge staples. It's easy to make, freezes well and is one of the most versatile ingredients to use for quick and tasty recipes. Not only is it low calorie and high protein, but it stretches well to feed more for less. Whichever seasoning or sauces you might choose after cooking will transform it into an ideal addition for salads, sandwiches or snacks. A handy recipe to have in your everyday arsenal.



  • Chicken breast icon
    Chicken breast
    2 cups (16.93oz/480g)
    cubed, chopped
  • Black pepper icon
    Black pepper
    as needed
    freshly ground
  • Water icon
    20.29fl oz/600g (2½ cups)
  • Sea salt icon
    Sea salt
    as needed


  1. Cut the chicken into large pieces, and place into simmering basket and insert into thermomix bowl.
  2. Add water to the TM5 bowl
  3. Fit TM5 bowl to TM5
  4. Cook - approx 13 min, 100°C, speed 3
  5. Check that the chicken is cooked
  6. Add a couple of minutes if necessary although the chicken should not be dry
  7. Drain the bowl of water and place the cooked chicken into the bowl
  8. Add seasoning to taste
  9. Blend - approx 4 sec, reverse speed 5
  10. Serve as you wish
