Our Mocha Walnut Butter is exactly what you think it is – the ultimate nut butter with a hint of sweetness and plenty of aroma. It is rich and indulgent without any questionable ingredients; just all of the relevant parts to make its flavor stand out. After 10 minutes of toasting the walnuts to intensify their flavour, they're blended (whilst warm) with the other ingredients to emulsify and then set. Spread this on literally anything, use it in baking or simply eat it by the spoonful.

INGREDIENTS


  • Walnuts icon
    Walnuts
    7.05oz/200g (about 1¾ cups)
    shelled
  • Coffee beans icon
    Coffee beans
    1 tbsp (0.52oz/15g)
    freshly ground
  • Sea salt icon
    Sea salt
    1 pinch
  • Vanilla bean paste icon
    Vanilla bean paste
    1 tsp (0.19oz/5g)
  • Dark chocolate chips icon
    Dark chocolate chips
    3.88oz/110g (about ¾ cup)

METHOD


  1. Place nuts on a lined tray
  2. Bake - 10 min, 200°C
  3. Place hot nuts into thermomix bowl with coffee, salt and vanilla
  4. Fit TM5 bowl to TM5
  5. Blend - approx 20 sec, speed 6
  6. Scrape down sides of TM5 bowl
  7. Add chocolate chips
  8. Blend - approx 10 sec, speed 6
  9. Scrape down sides of TM5 bowl
  10. Scrape into a jar and cool completely
