Wonderfully reminiscent of a time when feeding children chocolate wasn't frowned upon, these conscious treats will still leave the kids smiling and parents considerably less concerned about teeth or the dreaded sugar rush. Substituting quinoa for cereal is the key, whilst using natural sugars compounds the virtue of this recipe.

INGREDIENTS


  • Coconut oil icon

    3.68fl oz/100g (½ cup)
  • Coconut sugar icon

    0.71oz/20g (about 1½ tbsp)
  • Honey icon

    2.82oz/80g (about 3¾ tbsp)
  • Chocolate icon
    Chocolate
    3.53oz/100g (about ½ cup)
  • Vanilla bean paste icon
    Vanilla bean paste
    1 tsp (0.19oz/5g)
  • Sea salt icon
    Sea salt
    1 pinch
  • Shredded coconut icon
    Shredded coconut
    1.76oz/50g (about 3½ tbsp)
  • Quinoa icon

    3.53oz/100g (about ½ cup)

METHOD


  1. Line a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
  2. Add coconut oil, coconut sugar, honey, chocolate, vanilla bean paste and sea salt to the TM5 bowl
  3. Fit TM5 bowl to TM5
  4. Cook - approx 5 min, 60°C, speed 2
  5. Then add shredded coconut and quinoa to the TM5 bowl
  6. Mix - approx 6 sec, reverse speed 2
  7. Press mixture into baking sheet
  8. Refrigerate in fridge until needed
  9. Cut
  10. Serve
