This family style Creamy Greek Pasta Bake is similar to mac and cheese, in that its two main ingredients are pasta and cheese. However, with the aid of a Thermomix, we took something good and made it better. Adding in aromatic garlic and onion, blended with fresh parsley and a cream sauce, enhanced with a drop of lemon juice remixes an often dreary and "samey" dish. Top with olives and cherry tomatoes, and another layer of cheese for a gooey and comforting meal that will instantly fill bellies.

METHOD


  1. Pre-heat broiler
  2. Add fresh parsley to the TM5 bowl
  3. Fit TM5 bowl to TM5
  4. Chop - approx 3 sec, speed 7
  5. Then add garlic clove, onion and extra virgin olive oil to the sauce
  6. Chop - approx 4 sec, speed 4
  7. Sauté - approx 5 min, varoma, speed 1
  8. Then add butter, cornflour, milk and greek yogurt to the sauce
  9. Season with salt & pepper
  10. Cook - approx 7 min, 100°C, reverse speed 3
  11. Then add lemon zest to the sauce
  12. Add penne to a clean ceramic baking dish
  13. Stir sauce into baking dish
  14. Arrange cherry tomatoes in the baking dish
  15. Top with black olives
  16. Add feta cheese and pecorino cheese to the baking dish
  17. Sprinkle with dill
  18. Broil in broiler until golden brown - 5 min
  19. Top with lemon
