Thermomix Apricot Glazed Ham

Thankfully, this Apricot Glazed Ham is a failsafe Christmas recipe. It can be extremely daunting to have to cook both turkey and ham, let alone be concerned with sides, drinks and dessert. With this recipe, simply whip up the glaze in your Thermomix, drizzle and bake, coating one last time before serving. The result is a moist, sweet and fragrant ham that is perfect for such special and festive occasions. Worry about one less thing this year.

  1. Pre-heat oven - 170°C
  2. Line a clean baking dish with parchment paper
  3. Add dark brown sugar, cinnamon stick and star anise pod to the TM5 bowl
  4. Fit TM5 bowl to TM5
  5. Mix - approx 20 sec, speed 10
  6. Then add apricot jam, dry sherry, sea salt and wholegrain mustard to the glaze
  7. Cook - approx 5 min, 100°C, speed 2
  8. Add ham to the baking dish
  9. Peel
  10. Score
  11. Add cloves to the meat
  12. Pour three quarters of glaze into meat then set aside
  13. Bake until caramelized - approx 2 hr 15 min
  14. Add chicken stock to the glaze
  15. Cook - approx 3 min, 100°C, speed 2
  16. Pour the rest of glaze into meat
  17. Slice
  18. Serve
